Floor Restoration
Sanding, Sealing and Restoration
We cover the whole of the UK.
Our wood floor sanding and renovation services is an established part or our ethos, specializing in the supply, restoration and renovation of old wood floors in need of some TLC, including solid hardwood flooring and engineered wood flooring.
Our skilled craftsmen are trained to the highest standards to ensure a quality finish to your floor, every aspect from sub-floor preparation through to the finishing and ongoing maintenance is subject to our full warranty. We use only the highest standard of equipment, with one of the worlds best range of machinery. Bona Kemi Swedish manufactured machinery is guaranteed at 98% dust free, this machine is mandatory for schools/dance halls/sports halls/gymnasium sports centres and hospitals, as well as the domestic environment, to eliminate the maximum amount of dust. Our well developed process and method gets the very best of results. We start by: Step 1 Sand down to bear wood using a belt sander with a variety of grits. This is to clean the floor of any old treatments, dust, scratches and stains as well as to level the floor as much as possible. Step 2 Sanding the perimeter with an edging sander to achieve a clean surface as close to the skirting boards as possible. Filling of all, or part of the gaps is also included at this stage whatever is required and then resanding. Step 3 This is the one that gives your floor it's final appearance using a 16" orbital buffing sanding machine we achieve a highly smooth and polished look which is the preparation for the final sealing finish. Step 4 Although we would finish the floor as per customers requirements, we do recommend a hard-wax oil finish the reason for this is it's superior qualities of both preserving the floor as well as bringing out the natural beauty of the wood without actually altering it's colour. We apply the finish coating two/ three coats by roller or cloth brush to ensure correct coverage and protection. Step 5 On some occasions a final buffing is required dependant on required finishes.
We feel as a family run business we deal with customers in a professional yet personal manner, to restore the look whether it's a modern look you wish to achieve or a more traditional one we aim to provide whatever you desire.
