General Terms and conditions

 

 

1. Guarantee

1.1 Please make Reference to these standard Terms and conditions. 1.0 Our flooring comes with the manufacturer’s standard guarantee; this is usually: 2 years but can be up to 25years depending on the product you purchase.
1.2 Our fitting guarantee for Parador laminate Products covers a full 12 months from date of purchase, on Parador engineered real woods this increases to two years and for Parador solid wood products can be up to 25 years on selected solid wood products this is also backed up by the manufacturer Parador. These guarantees are none transferable in any way.
1.3 Solid woods- the sub floor and all the materials must be purchase through the shop to receive The Parador 25 year Guarantee.
1.4 See manufacturer’s literature on guarantee periods.
1.5 If you do not use a damp proof membrane on ground floors, or if you do not use the correct underlay, or if you do not have the flooring fitted correctly, this will affect your guarantee.


2. Prices

2.1 The Price shall be that on the Seller’s current list price, web site, or if applicable the price contained in the Seller’s Quotation.
2.2 All Prices are exclusive of VAT and charges for packing, postage and Carriage (plus VAT) which shall be paid in addition.
2.3 The total purchase price, including VAT and Delivery charges will be displayed in the Buyer's invoice prior to confirming the order.
2.4 Payment terms are: We take an initial deposit approximately 10% of the total value for confirming fitting date. We then take the full material costs including the vat element prior to delivery usually one week prior to delivery on site.
The final balance is paid on the day the job is completed. Any delays in this final payment will mean all products will remain property of Dijon Home & Flooring Ltd until payment in full has been received and cleared by the seller.
2.5 Payment can be made by cheque, debit/credit card or bacs payment.
2.6 Goods delivered and invoiced remain the property of Dijon Home delivery costs are subject to quantity and location.
2.7 Daffect your guarantee.
We reserve the right to charge interest on late payment of balances. The current late payment charge is 8% per day on the outstanding balance of payment.or to delivery if Dijon Home & Flooring are not fitting the product.All materials will remain the property of Dijon Home & Flooring until full and final payment has been made.
2.8 None of the above Terms and Conditions affect your statutory consumer rights.
2.9 You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of the use of our website.


3. Delivery

3.1 We will deliver your order by prior agreement with yourselves at a mutually convenient time.

 

4. Fitting Dates

4.1 Fitting dates are subject to availability and can change at any time.
4.2 Wherever possible we will endeavor to accommodate your needs. However these may change and we will communicate with yourself and wherever possible give as much notice as possible to any changes to your dates.
4.3 If the products are not available in stock then there could be a delay whilst the products are manufactured, this can take up to twelve weeks, and in some cases can cause a delay to the original fitting dates booked.


5. Skirting

5.1 We offer a removal and refit service this will be priced accordingly and is what it says removal and refit.
5.2 Current items once the skirting has been refitted it will need filling on joints along the wall joints and will require redecorating.
5.3 The amounts levels and cost of doing so is the customer’s responsibility, if any damage occurs to the walls, plaster when the skirting is being removed and no longer possible to go back on again the customer is required to purchase new skirting, in order to refit. An additional charge will then be incurred for labour and materials.
5.4 We will endeavor to discuss this with you the customer at the time if we are unable to contact you the fitter will continue in order to prevent delay to the job proceeding on schedule.

 

6. Wires & Pipes

6.1 Dijon Home & Flooring take no responsibility for loss or damage to pipe work or wiring that is not visible.
6.2 Wires drilled or nailed into is not the responsibility of Dijon Home & Flooring as a result of the product purchased/sold by the manufacturer it is the customers responsibility to whatever steps are necessary to satisfy themselves that there are no hidden pipes report it to the Dijon Home & Flooring fitter on site.
6.3 Any additional costs to repair/damage/replacement of any other items on site as a result of damage to pipes/wires during the fitting process, is the customers responsibility.
6.4The customer also needs to effect repairs immediately in order for work to continue. It is inevitable that delays will occur as a result of this.


7. Removal of Furniture

7.1 It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all furniture is removed from site (the area being worked on).
7.2 Dijon Home & Flooring will take all due care and attention to any remaining items of furnishings left on site but can take no responsibility to any damage or cost incurred as a result of items requiring removing. 


8. Disposal of rubbish 
            

8.1 The customer needs to identify a location on site for all rubbish to be placed.
8.2 All rubbish will be disposed of by you the customer.
8.3 If skip is on site and you the customer wish us to dispose of all rubbish in the skip then it is your responsibility to make arrangements with the fitter on site to action this.
8.4 Waste Materials- All jobs need waste we allocate enough waste to complete the job and there are always materials left over, regardless of what you pay for, you sign the declaration at the bottom of the invoice/quotation you are signing to say you give us permission to remove these waste materials from your location and use them as we see fit. Material means all damp proof membrane, glue full or halp empty, moisture barrier, in fact by definition any materials left over from the work carried out.


9. Maintenance and cleaning

9.1 Subject to explanation at time of purchase reference each particular product. Dijon Home & Flooring take no responsibility for damage to products due to inappropriate cleaning products being used after completion of worked carried out.


10. Complaints

10.1 if you have a complaint about our service or any goods or services you purchase from Dijon Home & Flooring Ltd then please contact us immediately.  You will be contacted as soon as possible and definitely within 24 hours of our hearing from you and aim to provide a resolution within 5 working days.
10.2 All complaints will be dealt with in a fair and confidential manner.
10.3 We Endeavour to maintain a high level of customer service and we will do our utmost to ensure our customers are completely satisfied.  However, in the unfortunate event you feel a need to complain please contact the office in the first instance expressing your concerns and the nature of your complaint.  Confirmation of which will be required in writing to protect both parties and to resolve the issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
