Sad story yesterday of another floor that has been fitted by a floor fitter who did not leave expansion gaps in order for the floor to expand and contract with varying weather conditions.
As a result the floor has buckled in the middle of the room.
The couple had saved hard to have this beautiful oak floor fitted and it now all needs replacing. They are taking the fitter to the small claims court as he will not replace the floor. The couple now however have to wait for the court process, which can take months and months for the case to be heard in court. Meanwhile they have been living with a failed floor since last August.
The moral in this story is if you want an expert job then get an expert to fit your floor.
