Quality Versus Price
We have today had three examples of where the customer has chosen price over quality of product and/or craftsmanship.
Incident 1: Customer had limestone floor tiles laid in an old cottage. Fitter failed to level the floor correctly tiles are now cracking. Quality product but poor craftsmanship.
Incident 2: Customer had a wood floor laid by a carpenter and chose a product from a high street chain store, wood floor now has severe expansion gaps. Quality craftsman at his job carpentry not floor laying failed to measure the moisture in the floor before laying. Inferior product.
Incident 3: Customer had solid wood flooring laid on top of under floor heating. Superior product inferior technical advice given at time of purchase as this was not an appropriate product for an under floor heating system.
