Just spoken to a kitchen company, great synergy for us working with kitchen companies as they fit beautiful kitchens and we lay beautiful floors each compliment one another.
We can design where the underfloor heating will go to avoid wastage under kitchen cupboards and islands. We can then advice of what flooring is appropriate for kitchens and also specifically if going on top of under floor heating.
Engineered boards are advisable for a kitchen as they do not take on as much moisture and are also most suitable for under floor heating. Solid and hardwood can be used but specialist advice should be sought.
